Hi

Two weeks ago I bought myselv the Sony NWZ-A826 Walman MP-3
Player. I really liked the design of it, so i decieded to model it in 3D.

It was a fun project to get some better modeling skills.

As software I used Cinema 3D to model and VRAYforC4D to render.

I tried to model the Sony as accurate as possibe. For rendering i used
VRAY area lights and white planes with gradiants on it to get good
reflections.

Data:
Created in C4D
Materials , lighting and rendering in VRAYforC4D
Rendering with GI (Irradiance Map + Light Chage)

Hi
This is my newest work.
A livingroom made with Cinema 4D and the new V-RAY
C4D Bridge witch is absolutely great. I rendered high res
2048 X 1365 px image in 4:30 H with high GI settings.
The ammount of glass in this scene was the main reason
for this "long" rendertime.
I tried to bring a lot of detail into this image what makes it
more realistic.

I hope you like my new work. Comments are most welcome.
Thanks

COPIC MARKER (Studio Setup)

Copic Marker

Hi...
This is my new work. I bought me some Copic Markers last
week. I liked the design of this markers so i decieded to
medel them.

The texture was made by loading a photograph of the Copic
into Illustrator and redrawing the it there. I did this bacausethe photograph always had reflections in it so it was unusable
for the textures.

My focus was to create a studio like image that looks as real
as possible. So I took measurements of all parts of the pencil
(0,00 mm accuracy) and remodeled it in Cinema 4D.

For rendering I used the Cinema 4D Advanced Renderer with
Stochastic Global Illumination, two lightsources with area
shadows, an HDRI for reflections and an extra pass of Ambient
Occlusion. Also I added a little DOF for more realism.

I merged the passes in Photoshop and did some color correction.

Rendertime 2:45 H 1280 X 720 px (High Anti Aliased, GI)

You can see the result here. I hope you like it. Komments are
most wellcome.

Cheers Raphael Rau

Lord of the Rings Palantir

Hi... This is my new Work.
I created it for CGSphere.com... thatīs why you
can still see the grid in the background. I wanted
to create a feeling of the original LOTR atmosphere
so I decieded to put some ash and blaze into the
scene.

For the ash I used Thinking partickels and a selfmade
blaze / glow - shader... The palantir itselv is made
compleately out of shaders... I matched it as closely
to the movie - original.
I used Cinema 4D renderer to render the scene...
The lighting was done with 3-point lighting. The
result was fine tuned in Photoshop.

I hope you like it... Komments are most welcome.

The Realism of Spheres

Hi there...

Iīve got that idea from my little nieces who store their
glass marbles in old film containers.

With this render i tried to get the most realistic result
with the C4D renderer. I used glossy reflections
and a lot of fresnel-shaders in the opacity and reflection
channnels of the different materials you see in this scene.

The lighting was done with one arealight and one filllight.
As you can see, I also used an areashadow.

The Reflections were done by putting illuminating planes
around the scene...

The Render took about 5h for 2048 x 1152 resolution.

I hope you like my little scene... Comments are most welcome!

Bottle Collection

Hi...
I want to present you my final entry at the
"CG Mini Challence" for lighting and shading.

For lighting I didnīt use any extendet lighting
techniques such as radiosity or ambient oculation.
This scene is hand lighted.

I used selfmade shaders for the different bottles.
I added a falloff-shader in the alphachannel
of a material to simulate dust and dirt which
cling to the bottles surface.

Also i created a rustshader for the windowtrim.

I used C4D for lighting, shading and rendering.
For the render a used the C4D standart renderer.

After rendering out different passes I composed
them in D-Fusion and did a little color correction
add some glow and generate the DOF

Then I used Photoshop to correct the contrast
and give the pic a little grainy look.

I hope you like it!
Comments are most wellkome. Thanks!
